NEW

 RELEASEs

My latest project is these owls. It turned out really well. It's soft and fluffy and when it is framed with a white beveled mat and a black frame, it will look amazing! The eyes are big and bold... it's the one thing I really like about owls. They seem to be so attentive.

16" high X 7" wide

Framed size would be around:

24" high X 14" wide

This is my passion. I want to capture nature in action. From the bold and explosive, to the tender and sublime. I am working in graphite at the moment as a means of disciplining myself focusing on accuracy, form, light and dark, etc. Pencil is more challenging than I originally thought. You can't paint over the top of pencil and the eraser has to be used sparingly or you can damage the paper. It's definitely a challenge.

About the

  Artist

I have always wanted to get into wildlife art but felt I could never make enough money to support my family. Then came the computer and as a result I would spend the next 30 years totally immersed in digital everything.

It seems lately I have had a longing to return to things analog. To get my hands "dirty". To tune into the nature around me. To slowly let go of the technology and embrace the world of the living.

This is just the beginning.
